Elise Tricoteaux is an independent Swiss guitarist, songwriter and singer.
As a woman who likes to be inspired and carried away by other people, it was not always easy for her to find her own artistic identity.
For a long time she moved predominantly in the classical guitar scene before she made the step into pop/folk music between 2014-2016. She played electric bass in the bands "Penguins by Choice" and "The Led Farmers". She then immersed herself in baroque music and dedicated herself to basso continuo and songwriting.
In her debut album "Sunlight" she weaves the various musical influences that have shaped Elise as a musician into something very personal and often surprising.
DEBUT ALBUM "SUNLIGHT"
Out on Spotify & Co. on the 22.02.22//
"Sunlight" is a compilation of musical diary entries spanning in weight from carefree adolescent adventures to lifelong insecurities. It is an intimate recording.
With songs written years apart, we hear Elise's first tentative steps towards composing develop into something bolder and more self-assured, while never losing the honest intention that characterzses each of her pieces.
Drawing on Baroque, Chanson, Folk and Classical guitar music, Elise weaves the sounds that shaped her as a musician into something personal in essence and often surprising.
